State Of The Union 2011 Good Stuff
70The State Of The Union Pay Attention America!
Hate it or love it, President Obama's state of the union was hard to disagree with. Better education, clean energy, health care reform and more. The state of the union had it all and even better it was laid out in plain old common sense. The president made his argument logically and persuasively. While I personally find it difficult to disagree with any of the points made I have no doubt there are people who will disagree.
Paul Ryans World View
Let Us Move Forward America.
Apparently republicans can't seem to stop being children. Immediately following the state of the union REP. Paul Ryan (R) Wisconsin went on TV and tried to undermine and take credit for the Presidents talking points. Mr Ryan and his slick smirk and misleading rhetoric is reckless and does nothing to help the nation. Republicans need to stop pretending to want the country to advance and actually come up with good ideas to help it advance. Rhetoric solves nothing except what to disagree about.
The Numbers Don't Lie
CBS news conducted a poll immediately following the state of the union. The participants were democrats, republicans and independents. Overwhelmingly the participants of the poll viewed the presidents state of the union address positively. So why did the republicans front man Mr Ryan seem to not get that? I don't want to seem like I'm bashing republicans. Honestly I can't understand how people agree with them. They seem so disagreeable.
Hows This For A Flash Quack...Yeah I Enjoyed That Pun
Forget Party Lines And Petty Arguments.
Can't we all just agree to fix the real problem with America? The greed of corporate institutions and politicians who undermine a fair chance for all of us. Greedy people suck basically. You don't need five cars but you want them... Why? Why would anyone need or want five cars? Do you plan on driving five cars? Can you drive them when you die? Can a greedy person honestly say that they need five bleeping cars! No they don't so it would be safe to assume they can pay more in taxes. Their fair share is larger than the fair share of a middle class working American so yes they should pay more. Who cares if you can't afford that sixth car you jerk there are people who can't afford one they need.
Really Who Listens To These People?
I'm Not Done Ranting.
I don't give a crap about being politically correct or polite. There are starving and homeless people in America and almost every other country in the world. No sane explanation can be given for living in a 20 room mansion while there are people who live in tent cities. Take a step back and realize that it is fine to have a free enterprise and competition. It is not OK to lie to people and distort the truth to keep them from competing for success. I believe this is exactly what republicans do.
Shut Up Mr Ryan Just Shut Up
Mr Ryan(R) Wisconsin responded to the state of the union on behalf of republicans so it is safe to assume the republicans weren't listening. Maybe they did listen who knows, either way it was clear their response would have been the same regardless of the points the president made. Democrat, Republican or Independent it makes no difference the president acknowledged the need to share ideas and work together. Immediately dismissing all the common sense desperately needed policies the president spoke about is ridiculous. The state of the union was not a campaign speech it was a call to action for America.

Words don't mean squat....actions DO!
His actions over the coarse of the last couple of years has PROVED not to be good for this country.
HE has allowed spending into the TRILLIONS!
That is inexcusable!
Let me reminde YOU, that Obama PROMISED to unite the parties....then it was obama to tell the repubs to get out of the way, for the dems to bring a gun to the fight, for the repubs to move to the back...NOW, that America has spoken CLEARLY last November...he wants to "get along"?
You should actually LISTEN to what Rep Ryan was saying....IT, is the path to success in this country.
IF, you care about the homeless and the jobless...Ryan NAILED it....Get government OUT of the way. Let the private sector do what they do best....make money. That money means jobs, jobs means, increased federal revenue....it is all common sense...
His speech was NOT anything but MORE words.
Lets see some action.

I assume that you were addressing the moderator.
I think that we agree.
Frist of all Opinion Duck, it was addressing the moderator.
Secondly, Cmbeverly; I too, will refrain from anger rhetoric. I know for a fact, that it is YOU who is mis-guided, and has only allowed yourself to use the tunnel vision from seeing the big picture on how we want to accomplish, basicly the same thing. That being JOBS. I think doing what is best for the country will result in creating the enviroment where the private sector can have the confidence to invest back inton america, spurring jobs and economnic growth.
Mr. Obama has done nothing but spend, spend, spend. WE CANNOT CONTINUE to do this. His intentions may very well be good, but the results of these intentions are destroying America as we know it.
It seems like all liberals can do is point fingers at Bush with today's problems. Let me first remind you that our involvement with Iraq was NOT a Bush decision only. It was done with 99% vote by congress, that sent you on your two tours of duty.
With that said, I will say that I have the utmost respect for you for your willingness to serve our Country. You should not be ashamed of your claiming to be a liberal. YOU have deserved that right to make such a claim.
Your chosen methodology of accomplishing what is best for this country is where I simply disagree. I think it is common sense to keep Big Government out of our personal lives as much as possible. To sit back and just allow our government to take these steps to increase it's control of government upon our lives is not what I believe is valid points for moving this country forward. I clearly see it as moving backwards, and it is NOT common sense solutions.
I have to say I thought what Obama had to say sounded good at first glance. But after thinking on it, he seemed to say we need to cut spending and then talk about all of the ways to improve our country by spending. My other problem is that he had some good ideas, but has in the past voted against those very ideas. We'll see if he can actually make good on any of it. And I agree government needs to back the heck out of a lot of things!
we should just become communist...our country is not working out anymore. Germany is expected to have a $0 defeciet by 2014 were does that put us...in the hole another 5 trillion. our parties cant get along and make a compromise on how to spend cash. if everyone earned the same we'd have no problem fixing our economy. dont say the age old arguement of so a brain surgeon will earn as much a garbage man. truth is they have as an important job as the surgeon. if they were not there then how high do you think pollution will be since no one was there to clean it up.

You are so liberal that you can't really see that Rhetoric is not Accomplishments.
Neither Democrat or Republican has made America better in the last one hundred years and much worse in the last four decades.
Two Congresses and Two Presidents rewarded the people that were responsible for the economic crash of 2008. The Stimulus money was thowing money at the problem and it went to the wrong people.
Instead of screwing around with healthcare and gays, Congress and the President should have focused on the economy and unemployment. Instead of increasing the size and function of government, they should have cut the size of the government.
Both parties prey on the middle class, the democrats take from them and give it to the poorer class, while the republicans give it to the wealthy.
The result of this is that there are more people in the lower class, because of the dropout from the middle class to the lower class.
As long as people think that one party is better than the other there will be no progress for America.
If Congress was a sports team their record would be zero wins.
Your way of thinking is a part of the problem, not the solution.
